About Me
Hi, I’m Shana. I’ve always been a to-do-list-crossing-off kind of person. Give me a notebook and a pen (or a screen these days) and a reason to make a checklist, and I can feel my stress levels drop like the price of sunscreen in October.
But my love of planning is not about controlling every second of a trip. What I do like is knowing that we’ve made smart choices before we go.
My family might say I make “that face” a lot—the one that says, “I don’t know about that,” until I have looked it up, read the reviews, checked the map, and verified that the thing is, in fact, a thing.
It’s not that I don’t enjoy a little spontaneity. Some of the best trip moments happen when you wander into a cute shop, take the scenic route, discover a tiny café, or decide to stay at the beach a little longer because nobody wants to leave yet. I love those moments.
But I have also learned that the best moments happen when the basics are handled. A good place to stay. A realistic plan. Enough time to enjoy it.
That’s why I started this practical trip planning blog.
Because a great trip does not have to be perfect. But YOU should get to enjoy it, too. And trust me, the chances of that are much higher if you’ve handled all the practicalities first.
